This week I've been thinking a lot about the faces we show on instagram vs how we feel behind the camera.  I have a love/hate relationship with Instagram and I am the first to shy away from getting on camera.   Yes, I do know that it's the absolute antithesis of what I preach.  It's a bit 'do as I say not as I do'...🙈

But I do think it's important to note that it's ok to have periods where we fall out of love with social media, we fall out of the habit of getting ourselves visible, we hit the walls of 'overthinking' and 'procrastination' and end up in complete paralysis when it comes to knowing what the hell to post.

I find it easy to get so swept up on social... who's doing what, am I doing enough, am I present enough, am I getting back to everyone, are people seeing my content... and a step back is ok.

As Shona Chambers replied on the subject after reading today’s newsletter; automated social media and repurposing content are actions that will keep your social media ticking even when you don’t feel much like showing up.👌

I had a few days off over the weekend and into the week where I think my body just went into shutdown and told me to take a break.  As a result my mind was maybe a little too free to wander and switch into overthinking mode.  Do you know what I mean?  I started to get very 'in my own head' until I started to talk it out.  I talked with my other half about how the year has gone business wise, how I've hit some insane milestones and achievements despite the lack of anything being 'normal' this year and how, despite some knock-backs, I have been able to continue doing a job I love and working with an incredible and inspiring range of women.

Sometimes hitting the 'reset' button is the best thing you can do.  In those moments when you can't see the wood for the trees or you feel like you don't know what you're doing or why you're doing it; allow yourself time to step back, breathe, reset and realign with your purpose and your mission.

Does any of this resonate with you? Let me know.
