JUDGING THE GIFT OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2021

I am very excited to be involved with the Gift of the Year awards for 2021 as one of the judges!

The Gift of the Year awards are the most highly respected industry accolades, aimed at recognising the best new products, talent and inspiration in the gift industry each year. The awards are run by The Giftware Association, which is a national trade representative body and is the only UK trade association serving the gift and home industry.

The awards are a way for The Giftware Association to recognise the remarkable talent and creativity within the gift and home industry.

I talk A LOT about the power of awards and accolades when it comes to your PR and visibility activity, it is a topic I’ve covered in the membership and speak about at any other opportunity! ;) Being shortlisted or winning awards, accolades, industry recognition and the like is hugely powerful for your credibility as a business owner. It adds credibility to your offer. It raises awareness of your offer. It justifies and affirms your expertise or the quality of your offer.

I am so passionate about supporting business owners in entering awards and gaining that breadth of visibility, so to be judging the Gift of the Year is such a thrill!

Being crowned a category winner at the Gift of the Year awards will give your business industry-wide recognition and previous entrants have seen a huge boost to their sales and revenue. The competition gives a unique platform to all that enter and welcomes all businesses, whether a start-up or a multinational brand.

The competition has helped to elevate businesses through exposure at trade shows, the Gift of the Year winners’ area at Spring Fair, the winners’ brochure and social media channels.

The winning products are usually revealed on the first evening of Spring Fair, the UK’s largest gathering of retailers which ultimately offers the opportunity for unrivalled sell-through for the winner and shortlist. This year due to the global pandemic The Gift Association are doing things a bit differently and the awards will be a virtual event with each category getting their own virtual celebration which will be shared across Spring Fair @ Homes platform in February.

The awards are still open for entry until the 11th December, so don’t miss out on getting involved!
